FCCL manufacturer Asia Electronic keep growing in 2014

FCCL (Flexible copper clad-laminate) manufacturer Asia Electronic Materials expects its revenues to keep growing quarter-on-quarter through 2014 after seeing sales rise 3.4% on year to NT$402 million (US$13.3 million) in the first quarter of the year. Net profits for the first quarter totaled NT$9.43 million or NT$0.11 per share.

The continual growth of the smartphone market in China and a cut into the supply chain of a branded smartphone vendor in the US by its FCCL client will help drive revenue growth for the rest of the year, said Asia Electronic.

Revenues for April reached NT$188 million, increasing 22.5% from the previous month. For the first four months of the year, revenues amounted to NT$590 million, up 8.9% on year.

At the same time, Asia Electronic also said that it began to supply its EMI (electromagnetic interference) films to Taiwan-based smartphone suppliers in 2014. Previously, the company shipped EMI films only to China-based handset makers.
